Terms of Service

Last updated: August 31, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of Folumia’s website and mobile app. By creating an account or otherwise using Folumia, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Folumia account or using our services, you confirm that you’re at least 13 years old and that you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you’re using Folumia on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you’re authorized to accept these terms on its behalf.

Description of Services

Folumia is a read-it-later and personal knowledge library: you can save articles and other content, read and highlight them, organize them with tags and collections, and use AI features — like summaries, question-answering over your library, and a connections graph — to get more out of what you’ve saved. Some features require an active subscription. We’re actively developing Folumia, so features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove parts of the service over time.

Your Account

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently or abusively.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Folumia lawfully and not to misuse it — including not attempting to access another user’s account, not disrupting or overloading our systems, not using the service to store or distribute content you don’t have the right to save, and not using our AI features to generate or spread illegal or harmful content.

Intellectual Property

Folumia’s app, website, design, and branding are our property (or licensed to us) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You keep all rights to the content you create — your highlights, notes, tags, and collections belong to you. Saving an article through Folumia for your personal use doesn’t transfer any rights to that article’s original content; you’re responsible for making sure your use of saved content complies with the law.

Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features require a paid subscription. Depending on how you subscribe, payment is handled by Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), Stripe, or Creem — we never receive or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you can manage or cancel a subscription through the platform you subscribed with (App Store, Play Store) or through your account settings. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or the policies of the platform you purchased through.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Folumia is provided without liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using Folumia and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service — where reasonably possible, we’ll try to give you notice first. Sections of these terms that are meant to survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Folumia is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t guarantee that the service — including AI-generated summaries, answers, or suggestions — will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate; AI features are a starting point, not a substitute for reading the original source. Use Folumia at your own discretion.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as Folumia evolves. If we make a significant change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Folumia after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are intended to be interpreted under generally applicable legal principles. If a dispute arises, we’ll try to resolve it directly with you first, in good faith. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country or region where you live that can’t be waived by agreement.
